Excellence and Academic Recognition
Awarding of Excellence Scholarships, Awards and Work-Study Scholarships
The MSc Programme in “Public Administration and Local Government” recognises and rewards academic achievement, research effort and students’ commitment to the quality of their studies.
Within this framework, the MSc Programme provides for the awarding of excellence scholarships and awards, in accordance with the academic criteria applied by the Programme and the decisions of the competent bodies.
Excellence Scholarships
The MSc Programme awards two excellence scholarships:
-
Excellence scholarship for a graduate of the Department of Business and Organisation Administration.
The scholarship is awarded each academic year to one graduate of the Department of Business and Organisation Administration who has achieved a degree grade above 8.50. -
Excellence scholarship for a postgraduate student of the MSc Programme.
The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic criteria to one postgraduate student who has achieved excellence in the average grade of the courses completed during the first two semesters, with a grade above 8.50. If more than one student meets this criterion, the scholarship is awarded to the student with the highest grade.
Excellence Awards
The MSc Programme awards an Excellence and Merit Award to the two best research-based Master’s theses that have been evaluated with the grade “Excellent”.
The recognition of the best theses aims to strengthen the research culture of the Programme, acknowledge high-quality academic effort and highlight research that contributes to the fields of Public Administration and Local Government.
Work-Study Scholarships
Work-study scholarships, where provided for, are subject to the specific terms and decisions of the competent bodies of the University and the Programme. Interested students are informed through the official announcements of the MSc Programme and the Secretariat.
